Congratulations! You’ve had your new plants installed, or had us assume service for you on your existing plants.

Since many of the same questions come up for both types of new clients in your first month or two of service, I’ll try and address some of them for you here.

The Plants

If you’re the recipient of a new installation, keep in mind your new plants have been through a lot! From a sunny field down in Florida to your office, they’ve been packaged, sleeved, transported, cleaned, and consequently will show some signs of stress, including some yellow leaves, brown tips, or leaf drop. Don’t worry–they’ll acclimate to your office soon, and it’s nothing to worry about. If you see any widespread problems then please do get in touch with us and we’d be happy to take care of it for you.

If you’ve had us assume service for you from a previous plant company, the same thing applies. The plants will likely be reacting a little to a new schedule, new fertilizer from us, new horticultural tech, and other things. It’s perfectly normal to see them adjust a little by a yellow leaf or two, especially if you’ve had the previous company for years.

You may also think the plants “look dry” as compared to your other company. This is an extremely common concern, however: The plants aren’t too dry, it’s likely your other company watered too much! Soil should dry out extensively between waterings, this is how the plants thrive, as they would in nature, versus being mired in constantly wet soil.

“Give It Time, The Plants Are Fine” is what we like to say. They’ll adjust over a few weeks, and soon things will be completely normal again!

Your Maintenance Visits

Many times in the first month or so, we’ll get contacted by new clients asking why we haven’t been back since the installation.

We maintain a strict schedule, and all our employees are accounted for because we see them at the start and finish of each day. We’ve most likely been by to perform your scheduled maintenance, but you were unaware, since our staff is like ninjas–they silently and stealthily perform their plant care duties while blending into the background of your office atmosphere.

They’re trained to go in and do what they need to do and not bother or be intrusive. If you’re still concerned, you’re welcome to contact us and we can inform you exactly who was by recently and when, but I promise we haven’t forgotten about you!

I can’t find my tech!

Chances are we’ve been back through since your installation, but being busy, you weren’t aware
